In vitro experiments, 25C-NBOMe is proven to exhibit cytotoxicity on neuronal mobile traces SH-SY5Y, PC12, and SN471, and also the compound was extra potent than methamphetamine at minimizing the visibility of the respective cells; the neurotoxicity on the compound requires activation of MAPK/ERK cascade and inhibition of Akt/PKB signaling pathway.
